Day 3 – 5 Songs you would want to take with you to a deserted island

This question was a bit more difficult than I expected, because it was so hard to narrow it down to 5. I love music...love love love. So, to have to cut my favorites down to 5 was rough. hehe Here it goes: 1) Welcome to the Jungle - Guns N Roses. I love the heavy metal type of beat, and this was one of my favorites in high school. I can just belt it out, and dance around to it, and generally get a happy feeling. 🙂 2) Livin' on a Prayer - Bon Jovi. I can't help but think of mom when I listen to anything Bon Jovi. hehe She loved them. She was so disappointed when Jon Bon Jovi cut his hair short. hehe 3) Warriors of the World (Unite) - Manowar. Again with the metal. hehe 4) Anything Aqua. But, to make it specific to the 5, I would have to pick "We Belong To The Sea". It is so easy to just belt this one out, and I love the melody of it. 5) True Colours - Cindi Lauper. Again, this is a melody thing. I can just sing this over and over. This really isn't all of my favorites. Especially since right now, I really enjoy listening to the Canadian Tenors. Especially their rendition of Hallelujah. It's so good. 😀 But, I think these songs do encompass the things that I really enjoyed in my teens and 20's and even today. They have good memories associated with them, or at least they make me happy and give me a jump in my step. Joe wanted to chime in on this one too. hehe Here is his list of 5...be sure to note the differences. 😉 1) Sanctus/Benedictus - The Missa Pange Lingua - Josquin DesPres 2) Allegro Non Tropo - Violin Concerto in D minor Op. 77 - Johannes Brahms 3) Moonlight Sonata - Ludwig Van Beethoven 4) The Air-Suite No. 3 in D Major, Bwv 1068 - Johann Sebastian Bach 5) Ave Maria - Franz Biebl as sung by Chanticleer

  1. Ok, this is hilarious! On the bright side, assuming you’re trapped together, you’ve pretty much run the gamut of music. I’ll breathe a sigh of regret for the missing country/blugrass. ;D
